WHILE Theodore Roosevelt was in
Milwaukee last Monday night, he was
shot by a man giving his name as
John Schrank, of New York. A manu
script the Colonel was carrying in his
coat pocket prevented the bullel from
seriously doing damage. The man gave
as his reason for the shooting that
McKinley's ghost bade him do it, as
Roosevelt and his party were traitors.
