PETITION FOR AMENDMENT
OF BANK CHARTER

Theypetition of BANK OF
EARLY, a banking corporation
incorporated under the general
law of the State of Georgia on
April 3rd 1941, and whose er\'in
cipal office and ;lflarce of business
is in Blakely, Early County. Geor
fia. respectfully shows the fol
owing facts, and petitions the
Secretary of State of the State
of Georgia to have its charter
amended as hereinafter set out,
1. Petitioner’s charter was a
mended on December 10th 1956,
increasing its capital stock from
$30.000.00 to $50,000.00, and
petitioner now has a osaid in
capital stock of $50,000.
2. Petitioner desires to have
its charter amended so as to in
crease its cafital stt())%k from $50,-
000.00 to SIOO,OOO. to consist
of 4,000 shares with a par value
of $25.00 per share, such increase
to be made by a capitalization
of surplus, that is, by a 100 per
cent, dividend in capital shares
from said bank’s surplus fund.
3. Petitioner aitaches hereto a
certified abstract from the min
utes of its stockholders showing
that this agplication has been
authorized by a vote of a majori
ty in amount of the entire Capi
tal stock at a meeting of the
| stock-holders called for the pur
pose of acting thereon, by a reso
lution of the board of directors,
| notice of said meeting having
| been mailed to each stockholder
addressed to his last known resi
dence at least 10 days previous
to the date of said meeting,
WHEREFORE, your petitioner
prays that its charter be amended
50 as to increase the capital stock
of the said Bank of Early from
$50,000.00 to $100.000.00 as herein
set forth.
