Representative Mobley Howell, Educational ~Funds Chairman of the 1968 Cancer Crusade in
Early County is presented a citation for excellence in the crusade by Mrs. Mary Key Hutto,
Albany, Field Representative for the Georgia Division, American Cancer Society (right), Mrs.
Zack Varnedoe, of Thomasville, Georgia (left) is the new Field Representative, ACS for eight
counties in Southwest Georgia and will assist with the ACS work in Early County for the coming
year. Early County’s goal was $2681 and total contributions were $2992 for 1968 under the capable
leadership of Mr. Howell.

Final Rites
Held Sept. 19th
Mrs. Jane Bruce Bostwick, of
Arlington, widow of Wilton B.
Bostwick, died in the Calhoun
County Hospital, Arlington, on
Wednesday of the past Wweeks
She had been ill for several
monthse Mrs. Bostwick was a
native of Lebannon, Tenn., and
had lived in Arlington since 1928,
She was 62 years of age. She
was a member of the Arlington
Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held
in the Oak Grove cemetery con
ducted by the Rev. Eugene Scott
the past Thursday afternoon. Pall
bearers were T, E, Sasser, WeM,
Sasser, Gerald Fincher, He A,
Jordan, lke Newberry, Sr., Billy
Englishe Bryan Funeral Home
was in charge.
Survivors are one son, Bruce
Bostwick, Vidalia, and one sis
ter, Mrs. James Thayer Snith,
of Lebannon, Tenn.
