Living in the past has one thing
in its favor— it is cheaper.
Almost every child would learn
to write sooner if allowed to do
his homework on wet cement.
Two hunters went bear hunting
in the north woods. Deep in the
swamp they came across huge
foot prints of a bear. "You go
ahead and see where he went”,
said one hunter to the other.
'TH go back and see where he
came from."

CORAL REEFS STUDIED
Biologists are intrigued by the
ocean’s coral reefs. They are
the richest and most productive
natural communities known to
man, yet they are bathed by nu
trient-poor waters. Little is
known about coral reefs, so
there has never been a basis
for exploiting rich reef resour
ces. Two University of Georgia
zoologists hope to change the
picture this spring, however.
They will lead a 30-man team of
scientists to a remote spot in
the Pacific — Ant Atoll —for
a three month study that will
be the first thorough investiga
tion of a typical coral reef,.

More than a dozen of the major
metropolitan areas of the United
States are protected against at
tack from the air by missile
installations of our nations Army
and its Air Defense Compiand.
Standing guard 24 hours a day,
every day of the year, the men
who operate these missile sites
are some of the most highly
trained soldiers on the Army
rolls.
Many of them got their start
in missilery and electronics by
enlisting for four years service
with the Army Air Defense Com
mand after a talk with their lo-
cal Army recruiter.
For those men who are eli
gible, the United States Army
can offer a guarantee of an ini

ington, QG, Key West, Fla.,

basic combat training, as do all
soldiers, and then attends Ad
vanced Individual Training at the

ter at Fort Bliss, Texas. At
the center, he is taught the skills
needed in missile technology be
fore being assigned to a site.

area he is guaranteed to remain
in that area for at least a one
year period. ,
At the end of the initial one
year period, he may then be
re-asslgned In accordance with
the needs of the Army. With
