EARLY COUNTY, GEORGIA’S TAX LEVY
FOR THE YEAR 1972
GEORGIA, EARLY COUNTY:
By A. D. Wilkerson, W H. Balkcom,
J. O. Evant, Donald McArthur, and C.
Lemuel Tlnar, constituting the duly elected
and qualified Board of Commissioners of
Early County, Georgia, sitting for county
purposes:
It is ordered that Seventy (70) cents on
the one hundred dollars, or seven (7) Mills
on the dollar of the taxable property of
Early County, Georgia, as shown by the
Tax Digest of said county for the year 1972
be and the same is hereby levied and it
is ordered that the same be col lec ted by the
Tax Commissioner of Early County, Georgia,
ad valorem, upon all the property subject
to taxation in said county, for the following
purposes.
1. To pay the expenses of administration
of the county government, throe-fourths
(3/4) of a mill on the dollar;
2. To build and repair the public build
ings and bridges two (2) mills on the dollar;
3. To pay expenses of courts, the main
tenance and support of prisoners, and to
pay sheriffs and coroners, and for litigation,
throe-fourths (3/4) of a mill on the dollar;
4. To build and maintain a system al
county roads, two (2) mills on the dollar;
5. For Public health purposes in said
county, and for the collection and
preservation of records of vital statistics,
one-half (1/2) of a mill on the dollar,
6. To pay county agricultural and homo
demonstration agents, one-fourth (1/4 ) of
a mill on the dollar;
7. To provide for payment of old age
assistance to aged persons in nood and
for the payment of assistance to the needy
blind, end to dependent children, and other
welfare benefits, one-fourth (1/4) of a mill
on tho dollar;
8. To provide for fire protection of forest
lands and for the further conservation of
natural resources, one-fourth (1/4) of a
mill on tho dollar;
9 To acquire, improve and maintain
airports, public parks and public libraries,
one-fourth (1/4) of a mill on tho dollar;
10. In addition to tho above and fore
going levy, the Tax Commissioner of Early
County, Georgia, is required to collect
for the purpose of paying the principal and
interest of tho Early County, Georgia,
Hospital Bonds, and to create a sinking
fund therefor, a tax which was levied when
tho said Early County, Georgia, Hospital
Bond indebtedness was created and incurred,
thirty hundredths (.30) of a mill on tho
dollar of tho valuation of all property which
is subject to taxation for the purpose bf
paying off Early County, Georgia, Hospital
Bond indebtedness.
In addition to tho above and foregoing
levies, is>on tho recommendation of tho
Board of Education of Early County, Georgia,
there io levied upon all taxable property
of and in Early County, Georgia, a tax of
ton and thirty hundredth (10.30) mills on tho
dollar of its valuation for tax purposes,
said levy being made for the purpose of
maintaining and for operating tho public
schools of Early County, Georgia.
In addition to tho abovo and foregoing
levies, the Tax Commissioner of Early
County, Georgia, is required to collect
for tho purpose of paying tho school bond
indebtedness, a tax which was levied when
said school bond indebtedness was created
and incurred - Early County, Georgia, a
comty-wida school bond indebtedness, one
and ten hundredths (1.10) mi lls on the dollar.
It is ordered that tho abovo and fore
going tax levies in the amounts and for
the purposes stated, bo made, and the
same be collected by tho Tax Commis
sioner of Early County, Georgia, for tho
year 1972.
It is further ordered that tho notice of
this levy bo published in tho Early County
News once a wook for four weeks ovor a
period of thirty (30) days from tho date
hereof.
The abovo and foregoing tax levies for
the year 1972 are ordered and adopted
by tho affirmative vote of the undersigned
members of the Board of Commissioners
of Early County, Georgia, at tho regular
October, 1972, mooting of said Board hold
this October 3, 1972:

Standard Specifications. The successful
bidder will be required to sign an extension
in the time limit for sward as required in

in Room 304 of the Alabama Highway Depart

only upon receipt of remittance No refunds
will be made. Tho Alabama Highway Depart

Minimum wago rotes for this project have
boon pro-determined by tho Secretory of
Labor and are sot forth in the advertised
