Excitement High•••
Christmas Is Here!
The familar figure pictured above with his nine famous
reindeer is deeply embedded in every youngster’s heart and
mind this time of the year.
The anticipation of his arrival brings out the youngster in
almost all of us each year as we prepare for his arrival with
decorations, Christmas trees, and merriment.
Almost everyone in town decorates their home or yard with the
spirit of Christmas. Santa with his sleigh and reindeer in the
yard of Mrs. Virginia Ann Baxley Brown has become one of
many traditional decorations that everyone looks forward to see
ing each year.
And every family should cherish their memories of decorating
their tree each Christmas season. It doesn’t always have to be as
big and beautiful as the one Eve, Patricia, and Mary Jane War
rick are decorating - but the bigger and more decorated the tree
is, the longer the memories seem to last.
With all the excitement and gift giving there is an underlying
bond between us all. Sometimes we have to listen and look close
ly to remember what it is all about- but it is there. Sometimes,
before it is all over each year, we finally stop to remember that
Christmas is the holiday celebrating the birth of our Jesus
Christ, and he is the one that fills our hearts with joy and the
desire to show our love with gifts.
