Dr. Jones of Bowdon attending
a recent meeting at the M. P.
church of which he is pastor, at
Harmony in the 11th district, rode
in a one horse wagon. His con
gregation so overloaded the gcod
pastor's wagon with supplies that
he had to procure help to get it
home.

the Books and records of the dif
ferent pihcera of the county.
W e find the Ordinary's books
kept in a neat and legible manner.
M e find, however, that the old pa
pers and Documents, in the Ordi
nary's office are in a deranged con
dition. de recommend that the
present Ordinary assort all the old
papers pertaining to his office to
label them and place them in prop
or order and that lie be paid twen
ty dollars ($20,00) for this service.
We find the Records and books
of our worthy Clerk of Superior
Court kept in a neat and business
like manner especially were we
impressed with the direct and re
verse index to records of deeds,
and the excellent manner in which
they are .kept. We recommend
that the County Commissioners
pay the Clerk of Superior Court
for extra work for transcribing
records of deeds in deed book “B,”
and General Indexes marked—
“A” and “B.”
We find the Justices and Nota
ries public dockets neatly and cor
rectly kept—with few exceptions.
We find the books of Sup’t of
Poor house neatly and correctly

We find total amount expended
on Poor Farm(not including supt's
salary) to be six hundred and sixty
nine dollars since Doc. Oth 1884

find the jail neatly kept, and the
prisoners well attended to. —
We find the sheriff’s books neatly

We commend our sheriff and
Deputy for the manner in which
they conduct the business of their
office, and the energy displayed in
bringing criminals to justice.
We recommend the County Com

room to the north east corner of
the jail, to be built of brick, and to
have a fire place and chimney put
to same.
We recommend that the Poor
farm chapel be removed onto the
Poor farm lands.
We recommend that W. G.

Sims be paid $25,00 for extra
work on Bridge across Tallapoosa
river on Bowdon and Goldridge
