Mexican Intelligence at Brownsville
sends the following news :
Another revolution I as broken out
under ValtlcZ. A detachment of gov*,
eminent troops were rooted by the
revolutionists.
An expedition from the North State
Tabasco started, under the command
of one Bastia, to march on the capital.
Mendez is repotted as the prime
mover.
Gen. Sanchez Uchea, an Ortegaist,
has been arrested and imprisoned at
San Luis Potosi.
A movement is on foot in the State of
Vera Cruz to detacli several villages
from that State and form anew one.
From all parts of the interior come
report!) of robberies, kidnapping, and
murders.
Franriscon G. Palaeio has been elec
ted Governor of the State of Du rango.
The gife politico of Puebla has or*
dered the imprisonment of all persons
unable to pay their debts.
Two Americans, named Cooke and
Pillow, en route for Tuxpan, were
murdered by Mexicans near Victoria.
They were emigrants from Waco, Tex
as.
Canales, Cueroga, and Carvajal are
organizing near Gamarge, in Tamauli
d. s, preparatory to a revolution. Their
agents are in Brownsville, purchasing
arms and munitions.
Troops have been sent from Mata*
morns to light them wherever found.
An expedition which started under
Felix Piza to invade Fiapa failed,
owing to the desertion of the National
Guard.
The ball will open shortly.
Cortina has threatened revolution if
Juan Jose De La Garza has not given
possession of the gubernatorial seat of
Tamaulipas, which he claims having
won in the last election.

Havana advices of the2Bth state
that the Captain General had ordered
Santa Anna to leave the island.
The sheriff and coroner of Jasper
county have been arrested and taken to
Atlanta. They are charged with being
derelict in their duty, in allowing the
murderers of a negro woman to escape,
Negroes are operating extesivaly
along the line of the Central Railroad
in selling bogus tickets to unsophisti
cated ireedmen.
A fire in Augusta, a few nights ago,
partially destroyed a building used as a
Freed men’s Hospital.
Frank Fessler, a horse thief was ar
rested at Athens, on Tuesday.
Robert G. Harper, Esq., of Coving *
ton, for many years a member of the
Georgia Legislature, and at one time the
law partner of Hon. L. Q. C. Lamar,
committed suicide at his home a few
days ago.
One thousand eight hundred and six
bales of cotton have been received at
Rome this session by river.
On the night of the 31st ultimo, Eg
bert B. Whitley and William R. Worn
nm-k, ol Munroe, had a difficulty, du
ring ihe progress of which the latter
was shot and killed by the former.—
Murderer was arrested.
A. great revival is in progress among
the colored baptist of Augusta. A
large number of converts were baptised
in the Savannah river on Sunday morn
ing.
