Fine Tobacco.
Messrs. Jordan, Howard & Harral
son, of the mammoth Tobacco House
in Atlanta, are selling immense quan
tities of the pure weed. Their stock

of all grades of .both chewing and

yards of Cartersville, will be done on Satur
day next, the 18th inst. All persons who
wish to lend a helping Laud in cleaning off
these repoitories of the dead, will please
meet us at the Baptist Church Graveyard,
in town, on the morning of that day, armed
with the necessary utensils, both Ladies
and Gentlemen. If you cannot come, send
a substitute We cleaned off about half of
the old Methodist Charch Graveyard, on last
Saturday, with but few hands.

IT is ordered by the Court, that the follow
ing tax be assessed, levied and collected
lrom tnc tax-payers of said county, over and
above the State Tax, both General and Spe
cific, except wherein excepted by law, as a
County Tax for Bartow County, for the year
1869 :
Ist. That twenty-five per cent be levied
and collected on the State Tax, both General
and Specific, to pay the legal indebtedness
of said County; past dues which has accrued
since the Ist day of June, 1865. And to
pay the necessary current expenses of said
County for the present year, and for build
ing and repairing Bridges, and other public
works not mentioned in this order.
2nd. Thirty per cent, on said State tax. for
the purpose of paying second installment for
pauper farm, and for the erection of build
ings on the same, and for support of pau
pers on said Farm.
3rd. Twelve and one half per cent on said
State tax to pay jurors.
4th. Twelve and one half per cent on said
Slate tax to pay jailors fees.
6th. Forty per cent on said State tax for
the purpose of completing the Court house
of said County.
6th. Five per cent on said State tax to
pay Coroners, Bailiffs, non-resident witness
es in Criminal cases, Stationery &c,
Ordered that the foregoing order bo ad
vertised as the Law requires, and that the
tax Collector be provided a copy.

run a straight line to a ditch across the old
Alabama Road, and Reviewers having been
appointed and reported favorably to the util -
