said house to the first hollo *v, on the left,
thence down the hollow to the bars, and
thence to the Ford known as the old Sallie
Hughes Ford, crossing Etowah River at said
Ford, and thence by the residence oC Col.
Lewis Tumlin. and forming a iunetiou with
the old Tennessc Road, at or near the Resi
dence of Dr. O. Pinkerton's, and Reviewers
having been appoi ted and reported favora
bly to the opening said road, ami of the
utility of the same, all persons concerned
are required to be and appear at my office
within tbe time prescribed by law, and show
cause, if any they. can. why said road should
not be established anil made a public Road.

For County Purposes. L

IT'is ordoredby the Court that the follow
ing tax be assessed, levied and collected
from the tax-payers of said county, over and
above the State Tax, both General and Spe
cific, except wherein excepted by law, as a
County Tax for Bartow County, for the year
1869 :
Ist. That twenty-five per cent be levied
and collected on the State Tax, both General
land Specific, to pay the legal indebtedness
| of said County; past dues which has accrued
j since the Ist day of June, 1865. And to
pay the necessary current expenses of said
County for the present year, and for build
ing and repairing Bridges, and other public
works not mentioned in this order.
2nd. Thirty per cent on said State tax, for
the purpose of paying second installment for
pauper farm, and for the erection of build
ings on the same, and for support of pau
pers on said Farm.
3rd. Twelve and one half per cent on said
State tax to pay jurors.
4th. Twelve and one half per cent on said
State tax to pay jailors fees.
sth. Forty per cent on said State fax for
the purpose of completing the Court house
•of.said County.
6th. Five per cent on said State tax to
pay Coroners, Bailiffs, non-resident witness
es in Criminal cases, Stationery &e,
Ordered that the foregoing order be ad
vertised as the Law requires, and that the
tax Collector be provided a copy.

Road, near the Felton’s Cross Road Church,
by the residence ofP. Moore and others to
the District line between the 4th and 21st
District, so as tj make the said Road a set
tlement or private way, and reviewers hav
ing been appointed and reported favoraqly
to the utility of said change, all persona
concerned are required to b’e and appear
