FOR THE CURE OF AGUE AND FEVER OR CHILLS ANO FEVER. The proprietor of this celebrated medicine justly claims for it a superiority over nil remedies ever offer ed to the pu-llc (or the safe. certain, speed v and ner cure of Ague and Fever .or Chills and Fever * e l of , * hor, hr long standing. He refers to the inure Western and Southwestern country to bear him testimony tothe truth of the assertion, that in no case alia ever will it ,ai| to cure, if the directions are strict ly followed and ca ried out. In a great many cases a Single ,lose has been sufficient for a cure, and whole families have teen cured by a single bottle, with a per fect restoration of the general health. It is, however prudent, and in every case more certain to cure, if its use is continued in smaller doses for a week or two af ter the disease has been checked, more especially in difficult and long s anding cases. Usually, this medi cine will not require any aid to keep the bowels in pood order; should the patient, however, require a cathartic medicine, after having t*ken three or four r toses of the Tonic, a single dose of BULL I ** VEftETA BLE F AM*LY PIILS will be sufficient. To my United States and World-wide Read ers: T HAVE received many testimonials from proses- A s onai and medical men, as my almanacs and vari ous public itions have shown, all of which are genuine. The following from a highly educated and popuiar phpdcian in Georgia, is certainly one of the most sen sible communications I have ever received. On the con trary they are uncertain in the extreme. My object in writing you is to find out upon what terms I can get the medicine directly from you. If I can get it upon easy terms, I shall use a great deai of it lam aware that the use of such articles is contrary to the teachings and practice of a great majority of the reg ular line ot M. D.’s, but I see no just cause or good sense in discarding a remedy which we know to be ef ficient, simply because we may be ignorant of its com bination. For my part, I shall make it a rule to use all aod any means to alleviate suffering hum ,nity which I may be able to command— not hesitating because someone more ingenious than myself may have learn d ita effects first, and secured the sole right to secure hat knowledge. Dr. John Bull—Dear Sir: Knowing the efficfency of your Sarsaparilla, and the healing and beneficial qualities it possesses, I send you the foliowing state ment of my case: I was wounded about two years ago—was taken prisoner and confined for sixteen months. Being moved so often, my wounds have n°t healed yet. I have not sat. up a moment since 1 was wounded. I am shot through the hips. My general health is im paired, and I need something to assisLnature. I have more faith in your Sarsaparilla than in any thing else. I wish that that is genuine. Please express me half a UozeD bottleß, and oblige Capt. C. P. JOHNSON, St. Louis, Mo. P. At thirteen years of age he had a chronic diarrhoea and scrofula, for which I gave him your Sarsaparilla. IT CURED HIM. I have for ten years recommended it to many in New York, Ohio, and lowa, for scrofula, fever sores, and general debili ty. Perfect success has attendee! it. The cures effect ed in some cage* of scrofula and fewer tore* were alrnoHt miraculous lam very anxious for my son to again have recourse to your Sarsaparilla. If it contains too much political matter, people won’t have it; if it contains too little, they won’t have it; if the type is too large, it don’t contain enough reading matter; j if the type is too small, they can’t read it; if we publish telegraph reports, folks I say they are nothing but lies; if we omit them they say we have no enter prise, or suppress them for political ef fect; if we have iu a. few ; original mat ter, they damn us for not giving giving original selections; if we publish original selections, folks say we are lazy for not giving them what they have not read in some other pa per; if we give a man complimentary notices, we are censured for being par tial; if we publish an article which pleases the ladies; the men become jealous; if we do not cater to their wishes, the paper is not fit to be in their houses; if we attend church the} r say it is only for effect; if we do not, they denounce us as deceitful and des perately wicked; if we speak well of any act, folks say we dare not do otherwise; if we censure, they call us a traitor; if we remain in our office, and attend to business, folks say we are too proud to mingle with our fel- j lows. inim: farm am> garden, Tin Massachusetts Ploughman re commends for pasture grasses, Italian rye grass, meadow fescue, oat grass, and red top.
