Columbia, Pa., May 14.—At a meet ing of iron masters, held yesterday, the unanimous feeling was to stop the pro duction of pig iron, which cannot be made at current rates without los-, and the probability is, that within the next sixty days, nearly, if not all, the furnaces in this vicinity will be idle. The vessel, the Milwau kee and St. Paul Railway depot, and Elevator with contents wore consumed by fire. The passengers on the War Eagle escaped by jumping into the river. Two lives lost. The total number of traveling preachers of the church in that year was 2,646 —increase over 1868, 151; local prerchers, 4,7s3—increase over 1868, 340; white members, 540i820 — increase of 1868, 33,224; colored mem bers. 19,686 —decrease from ISGB, 12- 399; Indian members, 3,149 —increase over 1868, 848.
