Elder. al India* B pHn*. in Butt* county, in the growing of vMd* which ii deemed ax remarkable as I* la extraordinary. Haa any onpulgegvur tri.4 it in Ueergla ? IU fra* now growbijf on his plantatlpn, Dear the ffjfHßg’ and #lth a fair prospect of j harvesting au ordhuMffP K>ud etop, a field of *0 MTM of wheat, which la the 3rd successive crop made upon the saifre field, since it was first sown by him in that grain, in MM. In t*t yoer the ground wm are* pared nod wowed and a good crop harvested in 1&&7. After cutting ami gathering it, the field wee pastured with horaea/ cattle and hogs, until the fall, when in November of that year, without roan wing, the laud was turned up by the plow and from the wheat left <>n the ground of tbo previous crop a good average ilieW was harvested in the Spring of IH&fi, as good in quality and quantity ae was usually made in tbc uvigbburhood. Th field being pastured as before wax again plough ed iu November 186*, without resowing. Ho has now on this field the 3rd crop maturing which will probably vtold an equal turnout, to either of the previous years, no seed having been sown on it eiace the fhli of I*6*. This remarkable result, of 3 crops from a single gowing, made with uo labor or expense, excepi the ploughing the field aud harvesting the pro duct, goex far to eetahUsh the singular hardiness W this grain, as well as its great pertinacity to vegetation aud reproduction, even, when exposed to thesoxerowi cold, freoaes, rains, and all oilier element* of this climate calculated to destroy its vegetating capacities. The winter of l*'t> A7. wpre perhaps, as noted for their coldness, treeres and the like, as any known to the oldest infiabl tanta of Georgia t whilst the best, winter nml Spring have bsm equally remarkable for mildness and rainy weather. If this experiment is some tiling new to our farmers as it to us, may It not elicit enquiry and flu? facte given induce others to try it ; and with equal success ? What a saving of labor and expanse in the rearing of this valu able article of consumption ; besides, what u ben efit would result to the lands of this country, if oar fltrmor* could, from one sowing, raise a *uc cesslou of Wheat crops and pasture-, by simply turning them var every fall with the plough. OMNIBUS. Niw York ItUMW.- -The startling war news from Kuroro causes the greatest excitement among the European exiles in this city, especial ly the Italians, who believe (rather credulously, perhaps,) that the day of regeneration Is at last about to dawn upon their unhappy country. Many of them bavu already getic, and many more will undoubt - edly go to take a hand In settling the ancient grudge which their nation owes to Austria. AND JEWELER, Scrofula, or King’s Evil, ia a constitutional disease, a corruption of the blood, by which this fluid becomes vitiated, weak, and poor. Being in the circulation, it pervades the whole body, and may burst out in disease on any part of it. No organ is free from its attacks, nor is there one which it may not destroy. The scrofulous taint is variously caubcd by mercurial disease, low living, dis ordered or unhealthy food, impure air, tilth and filthy habits, the depressing vices, and, above dll, by the venereal infection. What ever bo its origin, it is hereditary in the con stitution, descending “ from parents to children unto the thud and fourth generation indeed, it seems to be the rod of Him who says, •* I will visit the iniquities of the fathers upon their children.” Its effects commence by deposition from the blood of corrupt or ulcerous matter, which, in the lungs, liver, and internal organs, is termed tubercle*; in the glands, swellings; and on the surface, eruptions or pores. This foul cor ruption, which genders in the blood, depress*?* the energies of life, so that scrofulous constitu tions not only suffer from scrofulous com plaints, hut they have far less power to with stand the attacks of other diseases; conse quently, vast numbers perish by disorders which, although not scrofulous in tneir nature, are still rendered fatal by this taint in the system. Most of the consumption which de cimates the human family has its origin directly in this scrofulous contamination ; and many destructive diseases of the liver, kidneys, brain, and, indeed, of all the organs, arise from or are aggravated by the same cause. One quarter of all our people are scrofulous; their persons are invaded by this lurking in fection, and their health is undermined by it. To cleanse it from the system we must renovate the blood by an alterative medicine, and in vigorate it bjr healthy food and exercise. Such a mediuiue we supply in AYER’S Compound Extract of Sarsaparilla, the most effectual remedy which the medical akill of our times can devise for this every where prevailing and fatal malady. It is com bined from the most active remedial* that have been discovered for the expurgation of this foul disorder from the blood, and the rescue of the system from its destructive consequences, lienee it should be employed for the cure of not only scrofula, but also those other affec tions which arise from it, such a* Kruptivr and Skin Diseases, St. Anthony's Fire, Rosb, or Erysipelas, Pimpi.es, Pustules, Blotchbs, Blains and Boils, Tumors, Tetter and Salt Rheum, Scald Head, Kino worm, Rheumatism, Syphilitic and Mercurial Dis kases, Dropsy, Dyspbpsia, Debility, and, indeed, all Complaints arising prom Vitia ted or Impure Blood. The popular belief in “ impurity of the blood ” is founded in truth, for scrofula is a degeneration of the blood. The particular purpose and virtue of this Sarsapa rilla hi to purify and regenerate this vital fluid, without which sound health ia impossible in contaminated constitutions. Ayer's Cathartic Pills, FOR ALL THE PURPOSES OF A FAMILY PHYSIC, are o composed that disease within the range of their action can rarely withstand or evade them Their penetrating properties search, and cleanse, and invigorate every portion of the human organ ism, correcting its diseased action, aud restoring iu healthy vitalities. As < oonscd|*>eme of these properties, the invalid who is bowed down with pain or physical debility is astonished to find his health or energy restored by a remedy at once so simple and inviting. Not oniv do they cure the every-day complaint* of every body, but also many formidable and dangerous diseases. Tho agent below named it pleased to furnish gratis my American Almanac, containing certificated of thdr cures and directions for their use in the following complaints: Cottiva nes*, Heartburn , Ueadarft* arising from disoMered Stomach, Saustn, Indigestion, Pam in atul Morbid Inaction of the BotceJs, flatulency. Loss oj Appe tite, Jaundice, and other kindred complaints, arising from a low state of the body or obstruction of its mnetions. Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral, TOR TH* HATH) CUBS OF ( ouch*. Cold*’ Influenza, Hoarseness, * C roup, Bronchitis, Incipient ( onsnmp* tion, and lor the relief of Consumptive Patients in advanced stages of the disease. So wide is the field of its usefulness and so nu merous are the cases of its cures, that almost every section of country abounds in persons pub licly'known, who have been restored from alarming and even desperate diseases of the lungs by its us*. When once tried, its superiority over every other medicine of its kind is too apparent to escape observation, and where its virtues are known, the }>ublic no longer hesitate what antidote to employ or the distressing and dangerous affections of the pulmonary organs that are incident to our climate. While many inferior remedies thrust upon the community have failed and been discarded, this has gained friends by every trial, conferred benefits on the afflicted they can never forget, and pro duced cures too numerous and too remarkable to be forgotten.
