New Life for Sunday School.
Such interest in Sunday school work
as lias not been manifested for years is
now apparent in the First Methodist
congregation of this city. Committees
have been appointed to canvass the city
and swell the roll of members of the
school, both children and adult. A
“Home Study” class is being organized
and a competent superintendent will be
selected for'this newly introduced de
partment. A large Bible class is being
formed also, into which it is expected
to bring 40 or 50 young men. Mr. John
A. Smith has been requested to take
charge of this class.

Mrs.. Nancy Keith,
The aged mother of Mrs. Ratliff Pal

on Bradford street in this city yester
day, after a gradual decline of several
years incident to old-age. She was in
her 83d year.
The remains were borne to her old

for burial.
Mrs. Keith was one of the rare old
fashioned type of true Southern woman

one of the real, faithful, true home

many years before her call to the
brighter world and she leaves in the
noble children she reared a heritage to

The March of Progress.
As long as people knew no better they
were content to do without the railroad,
the telegraph, the telephone, etc., but
who, in this progressive age, would dis
pense with these necessities now? So
it is with flour. As long as you use
inferior flour and know nothing of the
merits of Bransford’s “Clifton,” you
may be satisfied with your bread, cake
and pastry; but if you try one sack of
“Clifton,” the “cake is dough” with all
inferior flours. RED GROCERY.

The Southern Mutual Life Insurance Association,
chartered and organized under the laws of Georgia, the
first company to put absolutely safe and sound life insu
rance within the reach of the masses of the Southern
people, and the only Life Insurance Association operat
ing on our plan in Georgia which has on deposit with
the State Treasurer $20,000 in securities to secure the
prompt payment of its policies.
Its policy is as safe and sure as a United States
bond, and costs you only six to ten dollars per thousand,
while the “old line companies” charge you $32.00.
It is sound life insurance at actual cost, because the
immence profits which are charged by the “old line
companies” to pay exorbitant salaries to officers and
make their stockholders rich are left in the pockets of
our policy holders, and yet our policy is secured by a
deposit with the State Treasurer as theirs is, and is paid
more promptly than theirs.
Not a dollar of the money you pay goes to Chicago
or New York, but every dollar of it remains in Georgia
and nearly all of it in* Hall county, in the hands of J.
R. Boone, the treasurer of your home branch, who is a
bonded officer, till it is paid out on a death loss to pro
vide for the comfort of the widow and orphans of you or
