Have Had No Further Trouble.
“On July 27, 1909, we left Boston for a
trip to England and Ireland, taking baby
with us. After being in Ireland a few days
a nasty rash came out all
over his body. We took
Ijs..» him to a doctor who said
V** t_/\ it was chicken pox, and
? ave us medicine for him.
The trouble started in the
/Ijrn form of a rash and was all
over baby's body, head
—“W" an( i face, at different
times. It irritated, and
/yi- -']' he would scratch it with
his mifht. The con
7/sequence was it d iveloped
■***• ■* into sores, and we were
afraid it would leave
/I nasty scars on his face.
“When we reached
England we took baby to another doctor,
who said his condition was due to change of
food and climate, and gave more medicine.
The rash got no better, and it used to itch
and burn at night so bad that the child could
not sleep. He was completely covered with
it at different times. It was at this time that
my mother advised us to try Cuticura Soap
and Ointment. After using Cuticura Soap
and Cuticura Ointment for about nine months
the places disappeared. There are not any
scars, or other kind of disfigurement, and
baby is completely cured by the Cuticura
Soap and Ointment. We have had no further
trouble with baby’s skin. Nothing stopped
the itching, and allowed baby to sleep but
Cuticura Soap and Cuticura Ointment.”

STOOL PIGEON SYSTEM
ABOLISHED BY POLICE.
Chief Beavers Abandons Old Methods of Get
ting Blind Tiger Evidence. x
Questioned by newspaper reporters
Monday morning, Chief J. L. Beavers,
of the Atlanta police department, an
nounced that the time-honored custom
of employing stool-pigeons to secure
evidence against blind tiger operators
had been abandoned by his orders.
This means that the police depart
ment will no longer hire men to secure
evidence against violators of the prohi
bition law by buying whiskey from
them.
Chief Beavers declares that he per
sonally has always shared the belief
that the stool pigeons were an evil, and
added little or nothing to the efficiency
of the department. He says that it is a
hard matter to make a judge or jury
believe the kind of man who is willing
to do stool pigeon work, and that even
when it is done well the detectives usu- '
ally have to follow up the case to get
corroborative evidence. He thinks, fur
thermore, that the detective department
should be efficient enough without the
aid of the stool pigeon, since the de
tectives are paid to do exactly what
the stool pigeons are hired for.
In the past it has been the custom to
hire stool pigeons at $2 per day, and
the members of the detective depart
ment recently made an effort before the
city council to have further appropria
tions made to continue the practice.
The Abolition of the stool pigeon sys
tem, it is belived, is one of a number
of reforms that will be inaugurated
under the direction of Chief Beavers.

Recommends P Frisian Sage.
Dr. J. B. George will sell you a fifty
cent bottle <>f PARISLXN SAGE and
guarantee it to banish dandruff, stop
falling hair and itching scalp, or money

that makes hair lustrous and fasci

“In the spring I was recovering from
a severe case of erysipelas, which left
me virtually bald on the front of my
head and next to my ears. The hair
kept coming out rapidly and nothing I
used stopped my getting entirely bald,
until I used two bottles of PARISIAN
SAGE. This tonic made my hair start
to grow in and, in fact grew me a goed
fair amount of hair, and it has entirely
stopped my hair falling out.
It is with pleasure that I give a public
recommend to PARISIAN SAGE,
which I know is a wonder.’’ Mrs. Ella
