ty :
g The petition of J. W. Oglesby, C.
J R. Shaw and F. G. Sampson respect
fully shows:
1. That they desire forthemselves,
their associates and successor, to be
incorporated and made a body poli
tic, under the name of “White Sul
phur Hotel Telephone Co.” for a pe
riod of twenty years.
2. The object of said corporation
is to construct and maintain a rural
telephone line, leading from New
Holland in said county to the home,
, of petitioners; and in order to do this,
4 petitioners desire the right to erect
poles, stretch wire, secure by guy
wires, and in short to do any and all
things that may be necessary or ex
pedient in order to attain the ends for
which said corporation was organ
ized.
Said telephone line is to be con
structed and maintained for the con
* venience of petitioners and for oth
< ers, and is not to be operated for
" gain.
3. The capital stock for said cor
poration shall be Two Hundred and
Fifty Dollars, ($250.00), divided into
shares of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00)
each, and all of said capital stock
has been already paid in. However,
petitioners desire the right to in-
t crease said capital stock not to ex
* ceed SI,OOO by a majority vote of the
stockholders.
4. Petitioners desire the right to
sue and to be sued, to plead and to
be impleaded, to have and use a
common seal, to make all necessary
by-laws and regulations, and to do
all things that may be necessary for
the successful carrying on of said
corporation, including the right to
buy and sell all things that may be
necessary for the construction and
maintainance of said telephone line.
. 5. The principal office of said cor-
poration to be at White Sulphur
Hotel.
Wherefore petitioners pray to be
incorporated under the name and
style aforesaid, with the powers,
privileges and immunities herein
set forth, and as are now. or may
hereafter be. allowed a corporation
of similar character under the laws
