For our own part, with the limited information of the Matter which we possess, we do not see how Georgia can pay these bonds, and at the same time maintain her honor and the rights ot her citizens. She ought not to bo ezpeoted. to do it. In the mean lime give quinine in heroic doses, to he repeated every two or three hours, until all S)uip!oms are overcome. Ford, an enterprising gentleman from New York Ktato, has bought land near Deep Spring, in tho upper part of this county, and is making arrange ments to establish a cheese factory thereon. He is thoroughly acquain ted with the business, having been engaged in it for a number of years in the above named State. He wants four hundred good milch cows imme diately. Wo trust that he will rect ive every encouragement from tho citi zens ol tho county in his undertaking. Hmai.l Pox. — flie following is said to be a reliable remedy: When the preceding fever is at its height, and just before the eruption appears, the chest is rubbed with cro ton oil and tartaric acid ointment. Thin causes the whole of tho eruption to appear on that pint of the body to tho relief of the refit. It also tec arcs a full and complete eruption, and thus prevents the disease from attacking the internal organs. This is now the established mode of treat ment in the English army in Ch na, and is regarded ns a perfect cure. t-¥?“ A diamond is reported to have been discovered at tly Cape of good Hope, which outweighs all known precious stones. It is said to lie of 288 karats, and of a light st raw color. The great Koh-i-noor origi nally weighed 800 karats, but a Ven etian jeweler cut it down to 2TO kar ats.
