any of the poor little youngsters
live to grow up.
There are children who are truly
objects ot pity. They seem almost

and their skin is tightly drawn
over their foreheads. There is
nothing hearty about tnem. They
do not enjoy their lives. They me

HOLME’SiIIiIENT
OR, THE Q
MOTHER’S FRIEND!
One of the greatest comforts to those expecting
to be confined is a remedy upon which implicit con
fidence can be placed—one that will produce a safe
and quick delivery—one that will control pain and
shorten the duration of labor. Such is “The Moth
er’s Friend.” Try it and sec what
A Blessing it is to Suffering Female ;.
This Liniment when used two or three weeks be
fore confinement, produces a wonderful effect,
causing a very easy and quick labor, with compar
atively little pain, and leaves the mother in a con
dition to recover quick ly -or in other words to have
a good getting up. Under its use, labor will ordina
rily occupy much less than the usual time, and
the suffering be diminished beyond expression.
The condition for which this remedy is offered is
of such a character as to forbid a long array of cer
tificates. Those interested in its use are respect
fully referred to the hundreds who have used it.
HEAD THE TESTIMONIALS:
1 most earnestly entreat every female expecting
to be confined to use the "Thk Mothers
Friend.” Coupled with this entreaty, I will add
that during a large obstetrical practice (forty-four
years), I have never known it to fail to produce a
safe and quick delivery.
II. J. HOLMES, M. D., Atlanta, Ga.
A lady from one of the counties of Middle Geor
gia, who has been acting as midwife for many
years, writes: ‘‘l have disposed of all The Vloth
er's Friend you sent me, arul I am DELIGHTED
WITH IT. In every instance where it has been
used its effects have been all that I could ask I
CONSIDER IT A GREAT BLESSING.”
y
A gentleman writes: "My wife need your Moth
kr’hFkimnd at her fourth confinement, and he
testimony is that site passed through it with mu
half of the suffering of either of her former confine
ments, ami recovered from Itfo much less time.
She also recommended it to a !.»dy friend who wus
about to be confined for the first time, and she
says: ‘I HAVK NEVER SEEN ANY ONE cash
throuuh this GREAT TRIAL WITH so MUCH
EASE AND SO LITTLE SUFFERING.' ”
'Hie names ol all these, and many others, can tie
had by calling at my office.
Having had the foregoing remedy Thoroughly
Tested In Atlanta and vicinity, I now otter it to
ruy patrons as possessing superior merits.
I am permitted also to refer to the following well
knowncituteus of Atlanta: C. M. Newton, win. M.
Crumley, Jr., W. A. Gregg and D. Bain; all of whom
are ready to testify to the merits of the prepurr
