“I am not ashamed ts the Gospel
Ac. Many come to the alter seek
ing Heart Purity.
In fact the power of the Spirit
was manifested from the first ser
vice on Monday night.
Bui Wednesday morning from
ft to 11 was a testimony meeting
many claimed the blessing of sun
ctification as a work done for them
siibaei|iient to their eonversiou.
Among those who gave in teslimo
ny to sanctification were tight rain
isters of the Gospel, in fact e7ery
preacher present claimed perfect
love. At 11 a. in. Ilev. .) A Perry
man preached on ihe Kingdom
within, wi/h much of the unction
of the spirit.
At 4 p. m. the open air meeting \
was largely attended Pev. Mr.
Bryant. Mr. Brown of Norcross,
Geo. Roberts and Rev. Mr. Jarrel
addressed the crowd. Mr. Brown
told of his recent couversion, liow
he was saved from profanity, whis
key and tobacco. He claims tco
the blessing of sanctification.
At night Rev. W A Parks preach
ed on the correct standard of relig
ion. Among other things, he said
he was hoping and praying that
God would sanctify t lie Baptist
and the Presbyterian preaehe v s in
this county, that he wanted the
standard of religion elevated in all
die Churches. He said the stan
dard of religion i» so low, ihai the
world and the church are too near
ly on the same level. At 'his ser
vice six persons professed sancti
fication including some of tlie bes>
female members of the church. It
was found at this service on Wed
nesday night that eleven had pro
fessed holiness by faith in ,Jesus.
On Thursday morning the praise
and testimony service was fuil of
interest. One as er bloi her for
two hours lestitied that they had
been saved from the lore of sin,
that their Leans were cleansed
from all inbred sin and that they
were filled wi h peace.
About the brightest testimony
given was by a lady, a member of
ihe Baptist Church. She says
she is sanctified
At 11 a. m. Rev A J Jarrell
preached on faith, showing that
we are sanctified oDly by faith in
the o'ood of Christ. Tl at we had
to quit all tryings usd only trust
in Jesus, that the quitiug was the
tiardest part to do. At this set
vice five persons professed that
purity.
At 4 p in. a large crowd was
addressed on the stree's, end
quite a number gave the hand ask
ing prayer.
At night Rev J. H. Litili
preached «u heart cleansing. Rev
IV. A. Dodge clostd, conducing
the alter service. At /he close ol
this service it was found llmt nine
een persons lmd professed sanet

gau.
The proposition was made fir
ill to stand n p who pro leased the
blessing of sanctifies tion obtained
subsequent to conversions. Fifty
eight stood up. Fifty eight min
isters, with many laymen and wo
men in the La wreneeville Church
it one time claiming sanctifica
tion, and the most of these have
obtained the blessing within the
last twelve months.
It is wonderful how this old Bi
ble doctrine is being revivedvid is
spreading over this country
There are thirteen pastors in the
Gainesville district besides the
piesiding elder, and eleven of
liese profess holiness. (‘Like
Priest Like People”) Theie
are six hundred membeis ; n the
district professing sanctification,
and near twelve huudred have
been convened this year.
It is always observed that con
vbrsions increase in proportion as
holiness is preached and profess
ed- And this is the “crazy relig
ion” that seme people talk and
write about in this cmu try. May
the Lore! lead the ignorant into
light.
Friday morning the testimony
meeting was of a very intenseard
interesting character. For 2 I ours ,
one and another testified o. con
versions and afterwards of heart
jeDansingor sanctification.

came to the altar seeking heart
purity. This service was cat short
by the npproxi li • f the Lour for
the furteial services of Dr. Moore,
which was held by Rev's King,
Dodge, amt McClelland
At night the house was full and
ILv. Mr Dodge preached ou the
two crossings. The crossing of
the Rid Sea representing cun ver
sions and th* ercst-iug of the riv

:and represening the entering
into the rest of perfect love by

As er the dismission a testi
mony service was held. Mr. Cook
of Norcross told how he - had lived
in sin. in drinking and profanity.
He told of hie conversions at the
district Conference at NorirOsS
and that, there had been much
drinking in bis shop, but Uint
no one came there now to drink
whiskey, tliet the Lor 1 had taken
all desire of whifkty and tobacco
from him. Mr. Haney of Nor

suncttiled at ihe Norcross district
meeting, and that he now had no

Saturday morning testimony

heart clean. At 11, a. m. Rev. E.
G. Murrah preached on “They
that wai' upou the 1 oril shall re
new" Ac., Three claimed the bless
tug of perfect love.
At the open air meeting on tae
street the crowd was increased
uud much feeling manifested.
Ou Sa.unlay nignt a prayer and
tes imoiiy service was held, when
there was the greatest manifes a
tion of power at any time ilur.ng
the mee ing up to that tune. Sev
eo professed Sanctification and
four persons were converted.
This service was held by Rev. \Y.
A Parks.
Sunday morning was a precious
season at the prayer anil tesiuuony
meeting. At 11a.m. /,'ev. E G
Murrah preached on a pure iu
ward life Six were sanctified,
*nd the powir of the spin' mani
fested.
On .Sunday night the church
was densely crowdoif some said
it was the largest congregation
ever seen in the chinch. The set
uioti was preached by Rev. VV A
Parks on the power and progress
of the gospel. A large numbel
came to the altar seeking pardon
and purity. Quite a number were
converted and sanctified. At the
close of the service the door of tue
church was opened, a ltd many
were made giad at seeing Mr
Tyler Peeples and VV E Simmons
join the church.
1 t was fouud that during thi
meeting fifty five had claimed Ihe
blessiug of sanctification, and
quite a number converted
The meeting goes on through
the week, Rev. E G Murrah re

carry on die meeting, We cannot
tell what the final result will be.
