The great favor with which our paper lias
been received by the majorify of the intelligent
class of our ettizeus, is sufficient evidence that
our efforts to publish a first-class weekly paper
in Louisville is a saeeess Ww tepe to be able
lo make new additions to our office iu a short
time, by which we will be able to make still
greater improvements on our paper. Will our
friends iu the country help us extend our cir

did time to get your neighbors to subscribe
and in that way you could soon raise a club oi
five and get the paper for two dollars a copy.
Try it and see if you are not sucoesssul.
COTTOJY M.taaßT.
We noticed an increased activity in the cot
ton market the past week. This is owing to
the high prices paid by purchasers, which in
duces the farmers to haul to this market, not
only for convenience, but far profit. We have
noticed several balesas coming from Washing
ton county, over 15 miles, which is, an evi
deuce that our merchauts here, pay good
prices for the staple. There is no frieght,
commission or storage to come out of the sale
when it is sold here, besides you get very
near the Savanuah prices. Bring along your
cotton gentleman, you will find a ready salt-,
at good prices, and you can buy your goods in
Louisville just as cheap as jyou can anywhere
iu the State.
