| The farmers of Georgia have rarely
known such a protracted spell of bad
weatheér as they have been compelled
ed to suffer ever since last September.
IA fipe cotton crop was curtailed and
injured in various ways by the Octo

versified, were forced to econsiderable
extent to forego their good intentions,
We hope they will not be discouraged
and that they will take advantage of
the spring planting season to putin as
many kinds of crops as possible. A
great deal can yet be accomplished in
this way, and we may not have another |
such fall and winter season as we have
been experiencinf, perhaps not within
the next twenty years. }
