A very regrestable and painful acci
dent happened to John, the 8-year-old
son of Hon. and Mrs John Awtrey at
their home on Kennesaw avenue on
Weduesday of last week. The boys
were out in the yard with Roman can

had been broken open, and in lighting
it, it suddenly exploded, the flash of
the powder burning little John’s face
to a solid blister and burning off his
eyebrows, but fortunately not injuring
his eyes. Dr. Reynolds was called and
gave immediate attention, and while
the injuries are painful, yet the pros
pect is bright for a speedy healing,
without any marks on the face.
