Diep.—We regret to learn of. the
death of Mr. F. M. Hembree, of Ros
wall, which took place last Wednesday.
He was one of Cobb county’s most es
teemed and respec'ed eitizens, and his
death will be a source of deep regret to
al) who koew him. He was 60 years of
age, and had beén justice of peace at
Roswell for many years. His funeral
was conducted at the Meth.dist church
by Rev. Lee Allgood. and interment
wsae in city cemetery. He is survived
by his wife and two daughters, Mrs.
Wm. E. Skerman and Mrs. W. W, Bt.
Johuo, both of Roswell. §

The grocery store of Mr. E. H. Simp
son, on the corner of Haynes and Lemon
streets, No. 400, was burglarized on last
Friday morning week. The thief enter
ed by using a duplicate key, unlocking
the door and quietly robbing the cash
drawer of about $2.00 in change, mostly
pennies. He also carried off three
boxes of candy. There is no elue as to
the burglar.
