MARIETTA. GA., THURSDAY MORNING, APRIL 29, 1909.
MOTHER'S DAY
|
The Baracas will Have a
Special Sermon Next
Sunday. |
The Baraca class of the First Metho
dist Church, Marietta, Ga., will cele
brate the 2nd of May as Mothers’ day.
Every man you see wearing a white
flower, is wearing it in memory of
mother. Not only to think of mother
while he is wearing it, but also to re
mind him to visit her, or write her a
letter, if she still lives. He is to re
member her unselfish love and devotion
to him, and to thank God for her. If
mother has gone to the “land of un
clouded day,” try to do some sweet,
thoughtful deed for some one else in
memory of her. There are over 300,000
Baraca mep wearing white flowers onl
this Mothers’ day. In many places the
news boys, Y. M. C. A., ete., wear the
white flower for mother. It would be
a grand sight to see every man and boy
in Marietta, on the 2nd day of May,
wearing a white flower. The Baraca'
class of the Baptist Church, as well as
the Philatheas, will join in the celebra
tion of Mothers’ day. A special ser
mon will be preached at 11 o’clock
Sunday at the Methdist church; Mrs.
Cunyus, the sweetest of Gospel singers,
will sing ; Music by the Baraca orches
tra, with Mrs. Annie Pyron accompani
ment. Everybody invited.
ANOTHER OLD RELIC.
Mr. Wells B. Whitmore, of this city,
exhibited tq us the other day an old
book ninety-six years of age. 1t was
“The Constitution of the Washington
Benevolent Society,”” and contained
George Washington’s farewell address,
in the old style letters—for instance,
‘'f”” for “sB’’. The book was printed in
Auburn, Cayuga county, New York, in
1813.

Milk and Cream
That’s Cl
S ciean...
e ——————————————————————————————————————
M
DID YOU ever stop to think how unclean, impure, laden
with disease germs most milk must be that is handled
carelessly in an unsanitary dairy and carted about in tin
buckets in the sun before it reaches the place where sold?
Most dealers don’t care, and many people never stop to think
about this important health matter.
We are ““eranks’ about the milk we sell. Like eyery
thing else that leaves this store, the BEST is none too good
for those who favor uswith thair patronage.
The milk and cream we sell comes from the well-known
KENNESAW DAIRY, said to be one of the finest in the
South, owned and conducted by Mr. R, H. Northeutt, who
has nothing but the finest registered Jerseys. This milk
comes to us early each morning in SEALED GLASS JARS,
which were thoroughly sterilized before being filled. Thus
you know this milk cannot be other than clean, pure, rich
and wholesome. Think about this next time you buy a dish
of ice cream or a glass of milk, and remember this store is
the ONLY ONE IN TOWN that cares enough about QUAL
ITY to serve to ita patrons this good milk and cream. IT
COSTS US MORE than other milk, BUT IT IS WORTH
THE PRICE.
