General Howell Cobb’s Command.
T HE undersigut-d having beeu authorized by
the Secretary of War to raise a legiment to
serve under General Howell Cobh, in lus depart
ment of Middle Florida, ail persons who have
raised or may design to riase Companies, are in
vited to correspond with me at Macon. Georgia.
Companies of sixty-four, squads, non conscripts
or exempts from any portion of the State, and al
so persons subject to conscription, residing in
the district of Middle Florida, and in the fol
lowing named counties: Baker, Calhoun, Clay,
Decatur Dougherty. Early. Lee, Mitchell, Miller,
Randolph, Tern-Ill, Thomas, Worth, Chattahoo
chee, Marion, Quitman, Stewart, Sumter, Sehiey,
Taylor, Webster, Muscogee.
Also, non conscripts, exempts and THOSE
SUBJECT TO CONSCRIPTION, iu General
Cobb’s Department.
A bounty of §50 and a complete outiiL will be
furni.-hed to every Volunteer, as soon as he is
mustered in.
The Regiment will bo thoroughly equipped,
armed with Enfield Rifles, and rendezvous at Ma
con.
