Grantviile High. School.
It was our pleasure to attcud a portion
of the exercises of the late Commence
ment at Grantviile High School. We
were agreeably suprised to find the pleas
ant village of Grantviile favored with so
flourishing an institution. Prof. Jones,
the principal, is deserving of the gratitude
and rcsspect of the people of that town
for his untiring efforts in behalf of educa
tion in their midst—and we were pleased
to sec that he and his able assistant Prof.
Gibson, enjoyed the unbounded confi
dence of citizens and students.
The exercises of Friday and Friday
night evinced that the pupils of every
department had been attentive to their
studies—the teachers faithful and compe-
remuined a single instant had the firing
continued.
