numerous casses tor extortion fiom citizens un

audit is known by Judge Bisteed’s friends
that Mr. Martin owed it to him tiiat he was
not criminally indicted ; >r tln-.-e outrages and
official offences instead of being prosecuted.—
The Grand Jury now in scs.-um (composed of

against the District Attorney for similar offen
