The New York Post hits its Iladical brethren
in Congress some pretty hard knocks on the
impeachment question. It says:
“Do the Republicans in Congress believe
that the country will see with patience the
most necessary legislation on the currency and
tin- taxes put off, iu order that they may pros
ecute their quarrel with the President? Let
them not so deceive themselves. Have they
no reason to fear that the people will punish
also the quarrelers on tjie other side? that,
impatient of this incessant and disgraceful
squabble, the nation, which finds its voice next | Thursday.—Macon Telegraph.

all, of IhPh sides who have so long neglected
its interests to carry on this petty warfare of
personality? The use of a politician in a free
country is to s*'rve the people, and to advance
measures which shall make them more com

Radical lesson that the Constitution of
the United States has ceased to exist.
