creek : the bridge over Shoal creek, on Newn-in
and Fay. tteviile road via G. O. Wynn, are in
bad condition. Wt*-recommend the Inferior
Court to have them put in good condition.
In many instances where the owners of land
have cut ditches across the public roads, and
where land hns been purchased where the ditch
es have already been cut, we find the bridges
across them arc in bad condition. We rtco;u-
nit nd the Inferior Court to direct the Commis
sioners of Roads to till up all ditches found
across the public roads, and make good fords,
if tlie owners of the I md where the ditches are
r fuse to bridge and keep them in good con
dition.
We also call attention to the bridge over the
railroad at Col J. B. Wiilcoxon's, which is in
a dangerous condition. Special attention is
called to the ditch across the road at Joe Meri
wether’s farm, on the Franklin road; ditches
on J. E. Robinson's land, and ditch on J. R.
Smith's land. Also bridges on Shoal creek via
G. O. Wynn's, impassable or very dangerous.
^We have examined tlie hooks of all the offi
cers of the county, and find them kept in a
very neat aud pemuanlike manner, very credi
table to the officers. We would recommend
the repairing and binding of the original book

the repairing and binding of the original book
letter A, records of land deeds.
