Several . hun dred armed men were in town; and -trouble : is brewings A meeting of promiheht citizens was held* and- it was agreed if Gen. Anderson would disarm the' militia, the white' people would pledge themselves that'no trou ble would arise. IHiis was’done and things qniete.d down. Several acts of ■incen diarism- caused the trouble, .A rew wasieported in Chester coun ty on the .night of the. 1st ; one negro was > killed, . exaggerated rumors are rife. Judge Rutland sent for General Anderson, who has gone- to the scene of the trouble.. . ' The House to-day adopted the mi nority report of the Committee on Pririleges and Elections, unseating the Reform members from Chester field; and seating the Radicals, by a •majority of about twenty.
