OFFER TIIE FOLLOWING FERTILIZERS :
“WANDO.”
An entirely new and pure Fertilizer, made from remarkable deposit* di covered in the 77
of fccuth Carolina! which have been pronounce and by eminent Chemists to bo the most valuable o:
a y similar deposit in t! <• w orld. It \* manipulated in Charleston by the Wamlo Mining and Man
ufacturing Company, out es material taken from the e beds of deposit near that city, and U the
fir*l article manufactured from Southern material at tin* South, ever offered to the public, and we
confidently m oimnem! it the planting interest of our State.
A distinguished C'ht mi * in Baltimore has pronounced its fertilizing qualities equal to any ur
tide in use ut the manufactories at the North.
We append n few of the many certificates given by planters in South Carolina, who are rnen
of undoubted respectability.
Extracts from Letters.
I think your'Fertilizer will pay. I nppli-d ft on Pght noil. 150 11m. per acre, a?.! rnaimred
with f;table manure near■ it, and it vus equally as good. I uppih <1 it in clay loam, IKO lb.s. to the
acre, and it war superior to the Muble manure W7VI. J. McFAUDEn, King:-■. <•->.
The Waudo Fertiliz'd’ I used thin year proved quite n success. I applied 150 lbs. per acre on
Cotton, which increas' and the yield a little more than one-third. The quantity applied was not suf
ficient, as I experimented on a scale with large quantities per acre, which paid u much greater per
wot. W. W. CULLER, Orangeburg.
I tried it on u very poor piece of land, which lmd laid out Inst year, coarse, gravelly, with clay
Btibmil; tleeji fun ows were run about four feet apart, and beds thrown up; in this condition it
lay until n ady lor applying the manure, which was done by running a deep furrow in the water
furro.v w ith a shovel plou'lj, ami applying the manure from a machine at the rate of 700 lbs. per
nete; the be tv iffu thrown back on the manure and cotton planted in the usual way. Had J
not left u h w row * without manure. I could not have believed that the difference would have been
so great. That with no manure will not pay for the seed and labor, whilst the other will make a
good crop. I can't ay iiow much, as i have not kept an account of the weight ; but will say tbi
much, that 1 regard it equal, il not superior, to any other »uuuure for cotton.
W. 7 RABB, "Winnsboro.
I UPinl your Wand" Fertilizer the present year on mv place, and have made better crops,!
tliina ihe n for ii*.any suns past. Last year and theycnr before i used Guano, but I find by expe
rience in planting that your I tilixer is more adapted to our soil than any i have used. I have
hied it also on garden vegetables and the result was a perfect success.
R. W. LITTLE, Bcnncllsvillc.

I unhesitatingly pronounce your Wnndo Fertilizer superior to any other Fertilizer 1 have ever
used, except- Peruvian Girtno, and consider it not inferior to that. I applied ISO lbs. to the acre,
in the furr«“.\. eov< img with scraper, and then threw up beds with “.lines' No. JO" bedding plea -i .

Your Wun ’.o Fertilize)' !:■>- done well for mo. I tiled it nfi both corn and cotton, and believe
Hint it has paid Hie. 1 used sonic iYruvian Guano, and can see uo difference.
JAMES E. DAVIS, Manning.
I used the Wundo on my cotton crop this year in tin* list, 150 lbs. to the acre. 1 1* ft rows in
different pm m of the t i<m» i.nntanureil. and in every instance they were inferior to those manured.
I consider ii e and u. : • a wi.w.iLip mauure for cotton ; applied it to no other crop.
W. S. PALMER, St. Stephen's.
I regret thit niv experiments with the Wundo Fertilizer have not been so conducted as to en
able tut* to answer y-ur inquiries ui detail They have not been a fair test ofcits value, vet. ike re
suit has been -e - iaetory enough to encourage me to continue its use. Ii was used in held mops
garden Vegetatd > and flowers cultivated in pots at various stages of their growth, and each ap
plication was j|y • *il by marked improvement. SANFORD W.JdAKER, M D., Oakley.
I hare used ycur Wundo Fertilizer on my co*ton crop the past season, and it gives tne pie -mv
t-> state that it has fully come up t" my highest expectations, it is. mmy opinion, quite equal to
stable manure for cotton. Jt. F. PLtyl :>T.
Heretofore 1 have used chiefly the Pacific Soluble and Mapow* Phns, hate : but hereafter I intend
to u-se the Wando Fertilizer. First, because it encourages home enterprise; and, jmv >ndlv, be
cause it is tn every respect equal to, it not superior to the other manures mentioned.
/. LEiTNER, Camden.
Youkvim.k, S. (’., January ‘.‘7th. IS>
1 lmd n event many planters to examine my crop last summer, and they wen* all very mm h
