harmonious. The members of the com
mittee were appointed a committee in
their respective districts to organize for
the campaign. A resident committee
of seven was appointed to conduct the
campaign. A committee of five was ap
pointed to consider the diutianehLe
nient of voters by the non-payment of
poll tax, and digest the most effectual
mode of securing the unrestrained oxer-;
vise of the elective franchise to uli enti
tled to it. A State Convention was call
ed to moot in this city on the 21st of Au
gust, to nominate a candidate tor Gov- j
ernor and an electoral ticket. Each
county will be entitled to double its re
picsentat ives in the Lower House of the
General Assembly.
