The reader will not tail to read the
beautiful little gem from ‘Yi i.et,” on
our first page. She writes well, and we
trust will frequently contrilute to the
columns of the Banner.
By the bye, we would notify ‘‘Liolel’’
that we wt uld lie pleased to receive ad

Bathst Revival—We are happy to
announce that considerable interest Iras
been manif, sted, during the past ten
days, in the meetings at the Baptist
church in this place. Zealous, earnest
and eloquent divines have been devoting
all their energies to influence the people
|to a reallzition of the great Dull sos
religion; and they have, in a measure,
been snccisefui : quilo a number have
already united themselves with the
church, and the indications are that oth
ers will do likewise.
M. E. Qualtfrt.v Meeting.— -The next
Quarterly meeting of the Method st
Ghnrch in Quitman, commences on Fri
day evening, and it is anticipated that
the meeting will be protracted, and an
attempt made for a revival of religion in
said church. Rev. S. S. Sweet will be
assisted by a number of eloquent divines,
aud much good, no doubt, will result
from their Christian efforts.

A Fine County. Brooks is certainly
one of the finest counties in the State ol
Georgia. In addition to productive soil,
[ fine water, and general good health, out
forests still possess considerable game,
and our streams abound with the finest
of every character of fish. As evidence
of this latter fact, a day or two ago we
received ani te from Messrs. Malacih
.Tones and Titos. I. Denmark, accompa
ni and with two very fine and large Trout,
| forwarded as a sample of forly five ta
j ken at one time in a trap on the Sandy
Run, a small stream running into the
1 Pisc.ds. The forty-five trout alluded
ito weighed 90 pounds. We are under
j many obligations to the gentlemen mint.
Icd for their acceptable present. They
I rayt auroug the most successful plan
