yew Millinery.
We invite the attention of the public
to the advertisement of Mrs. E. Ives and
Mrs. E. R. Harden’, who have formed a
copartuersh - p and opened nQu tuan a
handsome and well selected st oek of the
latest fashions of Millinery Goods, which
were bought in Baltimore immediately
after their importation from Paris. We
visited their establishment on Wednes
day morning last, anil before we h It. fur
the first time in our life, almost wished
that '‘we’d been a girl," so that we could
wear one of those beautiful hats and va
rious other “fixius,” which were shown
us, but which we will not betray our fe
male confidents by attempting .to name.
These ladies are of high social standing
in our community, and their enterprise
should be rewarded by a liberal patron
age of the people.

Mr. I). J. By an, oi savannah, and
whose card will be found *n this paper,
has been doing some work for us, and we
are so well pleased with it that we desire
to tell our friends where to have their
pictures taken. He made two frame
pictures for us, one from a small photo
graph copy and the other from the origi
nal, and his work is equal to any we have
ever seen. His terms are very reasona
ble, and if "you have an old ph-ture of
some loved one that you want made new
and life-like, send it to Mr. Ryan.
