they are having a delightful Spring in
the “Land of flowers.” The orange
groves are in full bloom and filling the
•air with their delightful fragrance. • On
the first of the month Snap Beans, .En
glish peas and Irish potatoes were on
table. Our farmers who are just pre
paring their lands for planting, will be
surprised to learn that in Florida "the
corn crop is promising." While with us
Spring, like a child first learning to
walk takes a.few timid Steps with coun
tenance of mingled delight and fear,
and becoming suddenly alarmed at the
howling wind rushes horridly bock into
the “lap of winter,” in Florida more
preoocious, she bounds forward like a
beautiful young maiden to admire her
