Americanising Mexico—’Southern
Confederacy.
Washington, July 18.—Gen. Bink
ley, has published a long address in the
Richmond' Whig of this morning, Jin
whioh he calls together all the members
of the order of the Knights of the Gol
den Cross, to meet id Texas on the 15th
of Semptember next. He says the
members .of his order number fifty
thousand, men, with a capital of one
million of dollars. *The object of. the
Association, it is stated, is to American
ize Northern Mexico.
Texas has subscribed nearly half a
million of dollars, and the General calls
upon other States to donate liberally, as
the object is to establish a Southern
Confederacy.
The Great Eastern.
New York, July 18.—The Great
istorn will depart for England, via
Halifax, on the 16th of August.
Another Kidnapping Case.
Newark, N. J., July 17.—A negro boy
who was accompanying Luther Roll, of
Augusta, Georgia, mysteriously disap
peared to-day. It was thought that the
boy was run off by Abolitionists.
Washington News.
Washington, July 17.—The Douglas
Central Committee have issued an ad
dress to the people, in which they repu
diate any combination with the other
wing of the Democracy.

inst., arrived eere to-day.
Honduras takes possession of the Bay
Islunds on the 3f)th of July. It was
stated that the people would resist by
force of arms.
General Walker left on the 27th ult,

was Central America.
The yellew fever is raging at Belize.

Bell and Evesett Ratification Meet
ing.
Baltimore, July 19.—There was a
large Bell and Everett meeting held
here lost night. Mayor Thomas Swann
was chosen chairman. The principal
speakers were Mayor Swann and the
Hon. Joseph R. Ingersoll.
The Convention endorsed the pro-,
ceedmgs and the platform of the Union
Convention at Baltimore,and their higti
appreciation of Bell and Everett.
All Squatters.—A Bad Crowd Gener-
I ly.—Tlie Augusta Constitutionalist—which
all acknowledge to be well posted in
I democratic opinions—says that Breck-
I inridge “stands side by side with Dnug-
I las” on the subject of non-intervention,
land that Joe Lane is “the futher of
I Squatter Sovereignty.”
Now, our argument from these prem-
I ises, is that neither of the tickets is en-
I titled to the support of the honest vot-
I era of Georgia. Il is evident that Boll
[is the only veal anti-Squattcr Sover
eignty candidate in the field. If the
[anti-Douglas Democrats are sincere in
[the war they have been waging against
[the Squatters, Mr. Boll is the only man
I whom they can consistently support.—

iSji.Our city is at this time thronged with
the elite of the medical profession from all
pirts of the United States, If they would
permit us to advise, we would suggest that
each of them take home with them a pack

and introduce it in their practice instead of
the nauseous drugs horelotbre used. It is so
pleasant that children actually cry for it,
