IIo would also coll the particular attention
of those in want of Artificial Work, to his su
perior stylo of teeth, set on gold plate; for
beauty, strength and life-like appeaeanee,
they are not surpassed. As un impression has
been made that piy prices for dental opera

Entire Sots Uppor and Lower from$100 to $250
Half Sots, Upper or Lower, from 60 to 180
Temporary Sets, Upper and Lower, 28 each.
Partial Sets in proportion to the above.
As I am well posted in all the late improve

Political Gleanings.
The New York News (Dera.) rejoices
over the Union of the Douglas and Dell
men, iff that State, against Lincoln, and
says:
The vote of New York Is thus secur
ed against Lincoln. There is ii> this
union of all the conservative elements
in the State nothing which can justly
be considered as a breach of party obli-
tlons or a sacrifice df.principle on ei-
erside. We are united on the broad
ound of devotion to the Union and
in opposition to the dangerous heresy
of hostility, lasting and irreconcilable,
with Southern Institutions. This per
nicious and pestilent doctrine is obnox
ious to a majority pf the people of the
State, and to jdlow a minority, aid
ed. by ' disagreements on less impor
tant issues, to carry its vote, would
argue little for the intelligence and
patriotism of the great body of elec
tors.
The friends of Messrs. Bell and Ever
ett, in acceding to an arrangement with
the friends of Messrs. Douglas and John
son, have not compromised either the
sincerity of their preferences or surren
dered their distinctive principles. It
may be that through this means Messrs.
Bell and Everett may be called on in
the mode pointed out in the Constitu
tion to direct the destinies ot the coun
try. We shall cordially acquiesce ita
this verdiet—we shall feel that the Un
ion is safe; and though we would have
preferred that a democratic Administra
tion should be in power, we

times an elegant crown jewel, glitteribg

remarkable woman. There is a. deep
stoicism and unbending philosophy,
coupled with independence, in her
composition, which one out of a thous

He every thought is replete with favor
itism for royalty. Republics she es
teems common, ungrateful; and now,
though.a citizen of Our domain, and
without anything special to plume her
self upon touching imperial favors, she
lives in the ideal of la France. Her
greatest ambition is to hear of her grand
son—young Jerome—now in the French
army, rising to honor and imperial dis
tinction, A large portion of her annu

mated to his service. At her demise,
t is presumed, he will inherit her en
tire fortune as she is not op terms of
intimacy with her son here.”
