Planters who have used Mapes’ Phosphate, now make it their solo relianoo, and are ordering (some of them) as much as fifty tens, for use the next season. This fact speuks for itself. We have discovered a quality, developed in the drouth, which was before unobserved, viz : its hygrometric power, or capacity, to absorb moisture from the atmosphere, which obviat ed to a largo extent the late unparalleled drought where it was us-*d, while most other fertilis rs were not only valueless, but posi tively injurious to the plant. The safety and profit mh a money investment, arising from the use of Mopes’ Phosphate, are now placed beyond question, and the experience of tho past season, has established what we have, without hesitation, alwayo averted for it, that is the only fertiliser reliable under all circumstances of soil, mdd# of cultivation, and of weather. MORRISON A LOOAN. dee 15 J&T Headache is the favorite *igu by which nature makes known any deviation what ever from the natural state of the brain, and viewed In this light it may be looked on as a safeguard intended to givo notice of disease whieh mieht otherwise escape attention, till too late to be remedied; and its indication* should never he neglected. Headaches may be classified under two names, viz: Byrntom- atic and Idiopathic. Bymtomutie Headache is exceedingly common, and is the precursor of a great variety of diseoses, among which arc Apoplexy, Gout, Rheumatism, and all febrile diseases. In its nervous form it is sympathetic of disease of the stomach con stituting Sick Headache, ot hepatic disco** constituting Bilious Headache, of worms, coustipution and other disorders of the bow els. os well as renal and uterine affections.-- Diseases of the heart are very frequently at tended with headaches. Anosmia and pleth ora are also affections which frequently oc casion headache. Idiopathic Headache is ulso very common, being usually distin guished by the name of Nervous Headache, Sumetimes coming on suddenly in a state of apparently sound health, and prostrating at once the mental and physical energies, and in other instances comes on slowly, heralded by depression ot spirits or acerbity of temper.— In most instances (he pain is in the front of the head, over one or noth eyes, und some times provoking vomiting: under this cIubs may also bo named Neuralgia. For the treatment of either class of head ache the Cephalic Pills have been found a sure und sufc remedy, relieving the moBt acute pains in a few minutes, and by its subtlo power eradicating the diseases of which Headache is the unerring index. BninoKT.—Missus wants you to send her a box of Cephalic Glue, no, a bottle of Prepar ed Pills—but I’m thinking Hint's not inst ft nuitlier; but perhaps ye’ll be afther know ing what it is. Ye sec she's nigh dead aud gone with tho sich headache, and wants some more of that samo as reliaivcd her before. Dhuouiht.—You must mean Spalding's Cephalic Pills. llninoBT.—Och! sure now and yov’vo-Bcd it, here's the quarter, and give me ths Pills and don^be long about it aiuier. Constipation or Costiveness. No one of the “many ills flesh Is heir to" is co prevalent, so little understood, and so much ncglectud as Costiveness. Often origi nating in carelessness, or sudentarv habits; it is regarded as a slight disorder ef too lit tle consequence to excite anxiety, while in reality it is the precursor and companion of many of the most fatal and dangerous dis cases, and unless early eradicated it will bring tho sufturtir tn an untimely grave.— Among tho lighter evils of which costivencss is the usual attendant ar* Headache, Colic, Rheumatism, Feul Breath, Piles, and others uf like nature, while a long train of fright ful diseases, such as Malignant Fevers, Ab- cesses, Dysentery, Diarrhoea, Dyspepsia, Ap oplexy, Epilepsy, Paralysis. Hysteria, Hypo chondriasis, Melancholy and Insanity, first indicate their prasence in the system by this alarming Byniptcm. Not unfrequently the diseases named originate tn Constipation, but take on an independent existence unless th* cause is eradicated tn an aarly stage. From all these considerations It follows that th* disorder should receive immediate attention wbenover it occurs, and uo person should neglect to get a box of Cephalic Pills on the first appearance of the oomplaint, as their- timely use will expel the insidious approach es of disense and destroy this dangerous fo«\ to human life.
