be seen that, while the loss of the bor

The Avai.oavatio* of Lxtt«UAa*«.-Th,r.
is a growing tendency to appropriate the
ino.-t i xprea.-ivo words of other language*,
and alter a while to incorporate them into
oar own; thus the word Cephalic, which la
from the Greek, signifying “for tho head,” is
now becoming popularized in connection
with Mr. Spolding’s great Headache remedy,
but it will soon be used in a more general
way, and the word Cephalic will become as
common as Electrotype, and many others
whoso distinction os foreign word* has been
worn away by common usage until they

Headache is the favorite sign by which
nature makes known any deviation what
ever from the natural state of tho brain, and
viewed in this light it may be looked on as a
safeguard intended to give notice of discafo
which might otherwise escape attention, till
too late to he remedied; and its indications
should never he neglected. Headaches may
he classified under two names, viz: Symtom-
titic and Idiopathic. Symtomatic lleadacha
is exceedingly common, aud is the precursor
of a great variety of diseases, among which
are Apoplexy, Gout, Rheumatism, and all
febrile discuses. In its nervous form it if
sympathetic of disease of the stomach con
stituting Sick Headache, ol hepatic disease
constituting Bilious Headache, of worms,
constipation and other disorders of the bow
els, as well as renal and uterine affections.—
Diseases of the heart are very frequently at
tended witli lieadaclics. Amemia and pleth
ora are also affections which frequently oc
casion headache. Idiopathic Headache is
aLo very common, being usually distin
guished by the name of Nervous Headache,
sometimes coining on suddenly in a state of
apparently sound health, and prostrating nt
once the mental and physical energies, and in
other instances comes on slowly, heralded by
depression of spirits or acerbity of temper.—
In most instances the pain is in the front of
the luad, over one or noth eyes, and some
times provoking vomiling; under this class
may also be named Neuralgia.
For the treatment of cither class of head
ache the f’ephalic Pills have been fcujd a
sure and safe remedy, relieving the most
acuto pains in a few minutes, and by its
Biibtle power eradicating the discavet of
which Headache is llie unerring index.

No one of tho “many

i* «o prcvnlcnt, so little understood, and so
much neglected ns Costivoncss. Often origi
nating iu carelessness, or sedentary habits;
it is regarded a* a slight disorder »f too lit
tle consequence to excite nnxiety, while in
reality it i« the precursor and companion of
many of the most fatal and dangerous dis
eases, and unless early eradicated it will
oring tho sufferer to an untimely grave.—
Among the lighter evils of which co8tivoncf9
in the usual attendaut are Headache, Colie,
Rheumatism, Font Breath, Tiles, and other*
of like nature, while a long train of fright
ful disease*, such as Malignant Fevers, Ab-

oplexy, Epilepsy, Paralysis, Ily.lcria, Ilypo-
chondriasis. Melancholy and Imanity, first
indicate their presence in tho system hy this
alarming symptom. Not unfrequently the
diseases named originate in Constipation,but
take on an independent osistcnco utile** the
cause i* eradicated in an early stage. From
all there considerations it follows that tho
disorder should receive immediate attention
whenever it ocours, and no person should
neglect to get a box of Cephalic Pill* on th.
first appearance of tho complaint, as their
timely use will expel the insidious approach
