•And .be for aye,, my. “dearie.’.’
Who’ll hoar with joy my coming stop,
And aigh to ape me weary.
Who’ll lighten care'with happy air,
And fondly call me "doario."
When dark misfortune's hour ia come,
And sorrow’s olouds are near me.
And seeming friends forsoke my path,
. To fJtjdjhef still my “dearie."

With some falr mfcjdan near me,
Whose'hoart would beat with joy when I
Should f>n41y.call faer ••dearie,’’ *
Then rftnrlcps.nigbta would turn to day,
And life seem glad and olieery,

Now should this meet the eyoofono,
And that one deign-to hear me,
I’ll lire for her, and her alone.
And she shall be my “dearie."
Women’s Rights.
“A woman says what she chooses,
without being knocked down for it —

while her husband goes to work. She
can go into tho street without being
sliced to “stand treat" at every saloon.
She can stay at home in time of war,
and got married again if her husband
ia killed. She can get divorced from
her husband whenever she sees one
she likes better. Sbo oan get her bus-

Death or SntRirr Cone.—We learn
from a letter, says the Columbus Sun,
from Fort Gaines, that 0. W. ’Cone,

Jreodman, has died from tho wounds.
We also learn from tho same letter,
that the track of tho Fort GaineB
branoh of the Southwestern Railroad,
wbieh was taken up by the Confederate
authorities, is being relaid.
Can Take a Hint.—The NewB un

the opinion that the lnnds should be di

his apt soholars might-attempt to pul
his numerous themes into practice, he
was quietly informed about the un-
healthiness ef this portion of Alabama

says he was “huge” on sotting tho tui

It was decided that where bonds had
