There seems to be some difference of
opinion among the Southern people, as
Convention of the Seventh Gongres
slonal District.
The Intelligenoer "still adheres to
fhe original suggestion, that Atlanta be
the place of holding the District Con
vention.” We still think, for the reas
ons previously given, that Kingston is
the more suitable place, and we do
not think "a majority of the delegates
would prefer Atlanta,” although that
place “can now accommodate all who
will attend”—probably about forty men.
But, of eourse, we have no objections
to Atlanta, beyond what is involved in
the questions of economy and conve
nience, and, as that placo was first sug
gested, and as there should be no mis
understanding as to the place of meet
ing we "yield the point” and concur
in the suggestion that the Convention

and patriotism in the land yet to save
it, if they can be combined in a well

us hope that harmony and wisdom may

In tbe meantime it behooves all who
desire a re united country and the
