WITH THE OSCILLATIN OR WATER BOX,
HAVING now completed all my improvements to the IMPROVED SAWYER GIN,
with curbed ribs, and a perfectly adjustable lloil Box, both at the top and bottom, eiving the planter per
fect control of the depth of saw. and the entire operation of the gin, adapting it to the condition of his cotton
and the degree of perfection which he desires to maintain in the staple, I now
challenge the world
To produce a gin more perfect in its operation or better adapted to meet nil the wants of the planter. I claim
that my Gin, properly managed, will maintain the full natural length, of the, staple, ani may also be made to
do as rapid work as any machine in use. This Gin has been witnessed in operation by several parties, some of
whom have given me the following certificates :

Mr. P. C. Sawyer, Macon, Ga.: Dear Sip.—l have witnessed the performance of one of your Improved Gins
aiid can safely pronounce it excellent and fully adapted to the wants of our farmers The improvements you
have given it over other Gins gives you superior claims to its consideration. Its swinging front with adjustable
box, both top and bottom, adds greatly to its praise and worth, as with that it is utterly impossible to break the
roll,' and that the shape of the libs being in perfect shape with the roll, necessarily gives increased length to the
staple, and indeed that which 1 witnessed was fully equal to its natural length, and which alone makes if pre-em
inently worthy of the consideration of all practical farmers. Wishing you success in your laudible Southern
undertaking, I am. very respectfully, W. A. COLLINS.

Ayer's Ague Cure,
For Ferer and Ague, Intermittent Fe
ver, Chill Fever, Remittent Fever
Dumb Ague, Periodical or Bilious Fe!
ver, &c., and indeed aU the affections
which arise from malarious, marsh, or
miasmatic poisons.
No one remedy is louder
jgW called for by the necessiticj
p of the American people than
, a sure and safe cure for
-S'ever anil Ague, Such
Jf we are now enabled to offer,
with a perfect certainty that
it will eradicate the disease, and with assur
ance, founded on proof, that no harm can
arise from its use in any quantity.
That which protects from or prevents this
disorder must be of immense service in tho
communities where it prevails. Prerrntion
is better than cure; for the patient escapes the
risk which he must run in violent attacks of
this baleful distemper. This “ Ccre ” expels
tile miasmatic poison of Fever and Ague
from the system, and prevents the develop
ment of the disease, if taken on the first
approach of its premonitory symptoms. A
great superiority of this remedy over any
other ever discovered for the speedy and cer
tain cure of is, that it contains
no Quinine or mineral; consequently it pro
duces no quinism or other injurious effects
whatever upon the constitution. Those cured
by it are left as healthy as if they had never
had the disease.
Fever ansi Agne is not alone the con
sequence of the miasmatic poison. A great
variety of disorders arise from its irritation,
among which are Menralgia, Illienma
ti*n:, Gout, IXeadurSie, Rliailnrui,
TTootliaclic. Earache. Catarrh, Astli
mu, Palpitation, Painful Affection
of th«* Spleen, Hysterics, Paia in tlie
I3osvel«». Colic, Paraly*i*, and derange
ment of the Stomach, all of which, when
originating in this cause, put on the inter
mittent type, or become periodical. This
“Cure” expels the poison from the bJoo.t,
and consequently cures them all alike. It is
an invaluable protection to immigrants and
persons travelling or temporarily residing in
the malarious districts. If taken occasion
ally or daily while exposed to the infection,
that will be excreted from the system, and
cannot accumulate in sufficient quantity to
ripen into disease. lienee it is even more
valuable for protection than cure; and few
will ever suffer from Intermittents if they
avail themselves of the protection this rem
edy affords.
For Liver Complaints, arising from torpid
ity of the Liver, it is an excellent remedy,
stimulating the Liver into healthy activity,
and producing many truly remarkable cures,
where other medicines fail.
