of the institution wire decidedly
pleased with his appearance. They;
however, m&do no proposals, nor did
they state their favorable impressions:
A gentleman of this city was requested
to ascertain where the young man
spent his evenings and what class of
young men were his associates. It
was found that ho spent several nights

We like the way in which the law is
administered in Guthrie county, In
diana. In that codnty the hard
hearted parent entered the parlor,
where the daughter was having'a
comfortable time with her lover. The
parent insisted on staying there. The
plucky lover gathered the old clmp up
aud shoved him outside the door. The
now infuriated parent sued him before
a Justice for ejecting him from a room
of his own house, and the wise Justice
(to whom be all honor) ruled as fol
lows: ‘It ’pears that this young feller
was courtin’ the plaintiffs gal in plain
tiff's parlor, and the plaintiff intruded,
and was put out by defendant. Court
in’ is a necessity, and must not be in
terrupted. Therefore the laws of In
diana will hold that a parent has no
legal right in a room where courliu 1
is afoot; and so the defendant is dis
charged, and plaintiff must pay costs.’
