driving has but one eje, hearing the

a complete wreck. Henry says the
horse climbed an oak to the height of

Important Meetinv.
We arc requested to call a meeting
of the citizens at the City Hall on
next Friday afternoon the 6th for the
purpose ot taking preliminary action
in reference to tbe meeting of the Go.
Medical Association, which convenes
here on the 1st Wednesday in April.
The approaching meeting of this dis
tinguished body of professional gentle
men, is fraught with deep interest to
our city and section. They are a large
and influential body of men and their
impressions of our place will be formed
from actual observation. Let ourciti-
izeus act iu harmony and union in this
matter, and see that the fair name and
fame ofourplace does notauffer. While
upon this subject, we would call the
attention ut our city fathers, to the
fact, that notwithstanding our fast
grow ing and flourishing town, is at
tracting attention all over her State,
and drawing to herself, by the geo
graphical location, and other well
known advantages, important and in
fluential bodies, as that ot the “Medi
cal Association, of the State of Geor
gia ” Yet, we havo no hall, fitted up
commensurate with our place and its
requirements.
The City hall should be comfortably
seated in time fer the meeting of the
association. Tbe hall is a public one,
the property of the tax payers of
Thomasville. It should uo longer be
left iu an unfinished state. Seat the
hall gentlemen, and give our citizens
comfortable seats, when they go to the
City Hail.
