The Floral and Horticultural

We attended the Floral and Hor
ticultural Exhibition at Thomasville,
last Fridav, and enjoved a most de
lightful day. Tlie number of peo
ple in attendance was not so large
as we expected; but the exhibition
of vegetables, flowers aud pretty
women was square up to and 1
■yond our expectation. It was a
splendid illustration of the energy,
taste and culture of tlie clever peo
ple of Thomas county; and if a
train of Northwestern cxcursi,, .ists
had dropped in about that time, all
would have been persuaded to stop
aud cast their lots right down in
Southwest Georgia. Many courte
sies were exteudeded to 11s bv our
clever friends of Thomasville, and
we shall ever hold a sweet remem

parts of the pleasant programme.—
