MILT MALONE'S CASE.
A Herald Reporter called upon Col. W. A. U

{Kimball House, and had the following interview with for plaintiff; Irwin, Wm. Phillips and Lester & Thomp-
ed with water and connected by tubes, these
being for the circulation of the water
between the two main chambers. The
second or inner boiler, that between the
two inner heads, is filled with a preparation
of bisulphide of carbon, the vapor from which
is the motive power, taking the place of steam.
Beneath the boiler is a small fire-box, from
which flues rnn up through the two boilers to
the smoke-pipe. These flues pass inside of j
the tubes above mentioned, and the fire in 1
passing through heats the chemicals. By this
arrangement, it is alleged, the bisulphide in
the inner boiler receives the requisite amount
■ of beat without coming in direct contact with
admitted to the bar of these courts ; the fire-flues, the water being kept in circula-

It is claimed that by this arrangement a
, e , great amount of power is obtainable with a
! comparatively smail fire, at least two-thirds
the ordinary amount of fuel used being thus
'saved. The chemical preparation is used over
