Boston beat Philadelphia in the odd game of nine 1 he score atcod seven to seventeen. The New York club won the great boit race easily. Tho Champion Base-Ball Match, The ninth game of the championship series, be. tween the Boston and Philadelphia clabs, etch club having won five races, came off to-day at tho ]Athlete Grounds, and attracted about five thousand people. Nicholas Young acted as tqnpire. Boston won the toss and sent Philadelphia to the bat. The friends of the White Stockings became enthusiastic as Wood and Beattie each scored a run. Boston then went to bat and tied Ph iladelphiaa, Barnes, Spalding, White and O'Ronke scoring runs. In the second inning Wood made a run for Philadelphiaa and Barnes for Bostons, again tieing in the game. In the third and fourth inuings the Philadelphiaa were blanked, while the Bostons scored two in the third and four in the fourth. The Philadelphiaa added one to their score in the fifth Inning, while the Bostons made four. Tke Philadelphiaa were blanked in the next two innings; Bostons one in the 6th; in 7th received their only goose egg. In 8th inning each aide scored one. On commencing 9th inning the score stood, Bos tod 17, Philadelphia 7. Philadelphia opened inning with spirit, and had scored four with only one out when darkness came on and the game was called. I have thought proper, therefore, to issno this my proclamation, hereby offering a reward of Two Hun dred and Fifty Dollars for the apprehension and de livery of tho said Joseph Hendrix and the said George Hendrix to the Sheriff of said County and State.
