pledged themselves to support the motion for the ro-
etoration of a monarchy.

The Carlist are fast loosing on the Northern pro
vinccs. They are utterly demoralized, and the men
accuse their leaders cf ticasoD. Gen. Morianes,
•Jommander ct the Republican troops, is energetic in
advancing against them. The siege at CarUgma is
psc-ceeding actively. The firing is very sharp. In
both cities many of the insurrectionist desert daily
aod surrender to the Republican forces.

of the charter of 1514, bnt in a modified form, w»l*

The World’s foreign special says ThiorB consents to

the only moans of preventing the restoration of the
monarchy, with the Count de Chamber J as Henry V.
This combination is receiving constant accessions
‘teverthelesa, the chances favor the manarchists, who
have a majority in the Assembly, the entire army, and
much money.
That Thiera should have at last concented to au al
iane with the Imperialists, is regarded as an evi
dence of the rapid strides which the Monarchists’
cause has been making. There is urgent necessity

In regard to Bazaine’s conduct st Meta M. Bovicro
takes the ground that tbe Marshal was not, at ary
time, really desirous of leaving the piece. After hear
ing Beviere's report the Court adjourned until
