INQUIRY.

of the girl was found doubled up in it, the
head and one leg nearly severed from (he

ARREST.
Four accomplices were at once arrested;
bnt, owing to the immnnities of his rank, the
Jndge could not be taken unless by an order
of the Supreme Court, and all that could be
done was to cause him to be accompanied by
a police official of tbe rank of Captain.
The necessary order, however, will go on
from Bio on the 10th to bring him he e for
trial.
