To gjge this question now would be impolitic w d injurious to the interests of the State. Least of shouId <he seating of those elected to the Fortieth Congress bo nrged. What has to gain by a representation composed rffro carpet-baggers to one Democrat? To ^ Bullock and his Legislature sent “where jjn Woodbine twineth,” a military government ia theif stead, and an election next fall, is all, udworo than we can hope for jnst now. We c arf make haste slowly. The qnestion of Con ditional representation will come np later. 'in army officer, who lately visited Alaska, £(<sot give a very flattering description of gt country. There ia .j.fuusbine enough to permit of the raising of ttcttsbles, and although thore is an abundance if pass, it is impossible to make bay, as there spot sun enough to dry the grass when cut. altogether, I fear there is little to be said in —lie of Mr. Seward’s bargain. It seems very pnch like Mrs. Toodles’ puchaso of the door- plite bearing tbo name of Thompson with a Washington correspondent of tho New York Times telegraphed on the 2"tb as follows: ‘•Tbe President to-day expressed himself freely fjtpivisitors upon the subject of reconstruc tion in Gtorgia. He regards the amendment attained by Senator Williams as the best solu tion of (he question, and expressed a hope that tieltlement might be made with that for a ba ns. H« is very desirous that this question gill be settled at an early day, not alone for fti like of the people of Georgia, bnt for the nkeof the Republican party as well.” Ibis paragraph simply indicates that Bollock itl his old tricks again. It will be recollected git some time since he palmed npon the Asso rted Press, the local press, and several corres pondents a statement in relation to the Presi dent’s views on the Georgia question similar to (be one given above. The President’s ntten- I tien ins called to the publication and he indig- untly denied having used the words ascribed to him. Yonr correspondent was among the fat to eipose Bullock’s treacheiy, and the re- nit of that expose was to impair his veracity very considerably among those he had wilfully nided. I have reason to believe that the item Iran the Times comes from the same sonreo as the former report, and is entitled to just as much credence. Thera is not, with possib’y tee exception, another correspondent on tLo ‘•Bow’’ who would believe Bullock under oath, or communicate to his papers anything Bollock micht say. United States troops are being withdrawn from the Southern and Middle States, and sent to the Western frontier, in anticipation of a war vhh the Sionx Indians, concerning the magni- tide of which the most astonnding rumors have been industriously circulated. It i3 whispered here, however, that these reports have little or so foundation, and that they have been set afloat with a view to defeating measures before Congress for a reduction of the army. This is not st all improbable. A formidable army lob by has been at work here, for some time, against Wilson's and Logan’s bills, bnt with slight prospect of success. If there really is any probability of an Indian war, it comes at a very opportune time for the army. If the sto ries now in circulation concerning tho prepara tion of the Sionx tribe for the war-path are ea~ ...mu, they are cunningly devised and well- timed. The President is expected to commence his summer-rambling to-morrow. It is announced in the court journals that he will make a trip Sorth, returning on Monday next. On the same authority the public are informed that the Presi dent will bny a farm in Maryland for a summer residence. This will make something less than a doxen residences belonging to “ onr gifted President” (as Mr. Mnngen, of Ohio, calls him), welding, of course, those bestowed npon F. S. G. by embryo cabinet officers. He proceedings of Congress, thus far, this week, do not call for special mention. The tariff bill moves its slow length along, and hosts * private bills give variety bnt little interest to the daily proceedings. The Senate is mak- c o 6<wd progress with the calender, bnt no one rentores yet to predict the time for adjonrn- People talk vaguely of. the first of July otthe last of that month for the exodus of Con gressmen ; bnt no one would be surprised if the Capital should be deserted at an earlier day. "Thelifooftheflesh in the Blood.” is a Scriptural maxim that science proves to be true. The people talk of bod blood, as the cause of many diseases, and like many popular opinions this of bad blood is . . opu founded in truth. The symptoms of bad blood are usually quite plain —had Digestion—causes imperfectnutrition. and con sequently the circulation is feeble: the seft tissues loose their toneand elasticity, and the tongue becomes pale, broad, and frequently covered with a pasty, white coat. This condition soon shows itself in roughness oftho skin, then in eruptive and ulcerative diseases, and when long continued results in serious Li pure 1 lesions ot tho Brain, Lever, l.udrs, or urinary appa ratus. That which protects from or prevents this disor der must be of iinmenso service in tho communi ties where it prevails. Prevention is better than cure, for the patient escapes the risk which he i" ist run In violent attacks of this baleful distem per. This “ Cutu:” expels the miasmatic poison of t :veii ami Ague from ttio system, and prevents '..©development of the disease, if taken on tho first approach of Its premonitory symptoms. It is not only the best remedy ever yet discovered for this class of complaints, but also the cheapest. The large quantity wo supply for a dollar brings it within tho reach of everybody; and in bilious dis tricts, where Fever axd Ague prevails, every body should have it, nnd nse It freely both for cure etui protection. It is hoped this price will place it within the reach of all—tho poor as well as tho rich. A great superiority of this remedy over any other ever discovered for the speedy nnd certain euro of Intermittents is, that it contains no Qnmino or mineral; consequently it produces no quinism or other injurious effects whatever upon tho con stitution. Those enred by it are left as healthy as if they had never had the disease. gi.i, Rheumatism, Gout, Headache, Blindness, Toothache, Earache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpitation, Painful Affection of the Spleen, Hysterics, Pain in ent of in this the Bowels, Colic, Paralysis, and - the Stomach, all of which, when oi _ cause, pnt on tho intermittent type, periodical. This “ Cube” expels tho poison from the blood, and consequently cures them all alike. It is an Invaluable protection to immigrants and i travelling or temporarily residing in the persons , , „ „ malarious districts. If taken occasionally or dally while exposed to the infection, that will be excreted from the evstem, and cannot accumulate in suffi cient quantity to ripen Into disease. Hence it is even more valuable for protection than cure; and few will ever suffer from Intcrmittents if they avail themselves of tho protection this remedy af- ;brds. For hirer Ccmplaints, arising from torpidi ty of the Liver, it is an excellent remedy, stimulat ing the Liver Into healthy activity, and produ- cin^many^ truly remarkable cures, where other uiine is voided in small quantities at the time, or when there is a disposition to urinate more frequently than natural, or when tho urine is high colored or scalding, with weakness in the small of the back, it should not be trifled with or delayed, but Koskoo should be taken at once to remedy the diffi culty, before a lesion of the organs takes place. Most of the diseases of the Bladder originate from those of the Kidneys, the urine being imperfectly secreted in the Kidneys, prove irritating to the Bladder and uri nary passages. When we recollect that medicine never reaches the Kidneys except through the general circulation of the Blood, wo see how necessary it is to keep the Fountain of Life Pure. Having had tho refnsal of nearly every invention in watchmaking originating in this conntry or in Eu rope, only those were finally adopted which severe testing by the most skillful artisans in our works, and long use on the part oi the public, demonstrated to bo essential to correct and enduring time-keeping. Among the many improvements we would particu larize:- The invention and nse of a centre-pinion of pecu liar construction, to prevent damage to the tram by the breakage ot main springs, is original with tho srican Watch Company, who, having had the re fusal of all other contrivances, adopted Fogg’s Patent pinion as being the best and faultless. Hardened and tampered hair springs, now univer sally admitted by watchmakers to he the best, aro sed in all grades of Waltham Watches.
